Your wedding isn’t just another day. It’s a celebration of life and love, and the first chapter in the story of your new lives together. As a photographer, I don’t want to just take pictures. I want to capture the details, moments, and emotions that make your wedding day uniquely yours. A fresh approach to my photography allows us to tell a story through images rather than just taking a huge pile of snapshots.
Throughout the day I practice what you might call a “low impact” style of photography – I shoot your wedding day as it unfolds naturally instead of directing and dictating things the way I think they should be. This isn’t to say I won’t do subtle things here and there to ensure your photos are fabulous. I most definitely do! But the photos will also capture all of the time, care, and planning that you’ve put into making everything perfect.
When it’s time for the group photos and portraits I still keep to our practice of capturing genuine, natural images. Instead of getting carried away with hours of posed photos, we prefer to keep these sessions short, fun, and creative. It’s important to me that when I photograph someone, that who they really are is reflected in the finished images. By keeping things low-key and relaxed it allows you to be you, not what I think you’re supposed to be.
Once the wedding is over I get to work editing and processing your photos, getting your online gallery ready and laying out your album. Because it’s no fun to wait months to see your photos we guarantee that everything will be ready to view within two weeks, often even sooner – like before you return from the honeymoon!
Being a wedding photographer is the most amazing, challenging, rewarding career you could ever ask for. We love what we do and truly enjoy the time spent with our clients, making fantastic images that they’ll always treasure
