Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What sort of style do you work in?
A. Our style can best be described as “Contemporary Candid”.

Q. What is your photography background?
A. I bring over 10 years of experience in photography and fine arts to each wedding we shoot. For the last ten years I have focused exclusively on wedding, portrait, studio and event photography.

Q. How many photos will you shoot at my wedding or event?
A. This is a difficult question to answer because every event is different. Whether we’re shooting for 2 hours or 10, I will provide you with full and complete coverage of your wedding. The number of finished photographs I deliver tends to be on average from 400-700.

Q. I’ve heard stories of photographers whose camera breaks during a wedding? Do you bring backup equipment with you?
A. Equipment failure is a possibility every working professional must be prepared for. We will bring backups of all of our equipment, including camera bodies, lenses, flashes, batteries and so on. The only thing you have to worry about is remembering your vows!

Q. What sort of equipment do you use?
A. I use Canon professional camera equipment.

Q. Can you shoot on film for my wedding?
A. Sorry, no. I am a 100% digital studio and we think the results speak for themselves.

Q. How long will it take for me to get my photos?
A. Your photos will be finished and ready for viewing within 2 weeks.

Q. It seems like everyone is offering digital photography now. I even have a digital camera myself that takes nice pictures. What will you do that really sets your photos apart from what the average person shoots?
A. There’s a huge difference between a professional photographer who happens to work digitally and most people who have digital cameras. I don’t just unload our memory cards and copy them all to a CD. Each photo is evaluated and adjustments to color, contrast, sharpness, and composition are applied as necessary. Working this way is more time-consuming than simply unloading memory cards, but provides my clients with superior images. In addition, I work on regularly color-calibrated professional monitors to ensure that the color in our photos is always accurate.

Q. I like that you make photos available for viewing online. How exactly does that work?
A. Once we’ve finished our post-processing I’ll upload the finished photos to an online gallery. You’re free to provide the URL to anyone you choose. This is particularly convenient for friends and family who couldn’t attend your wedding and makes print selection much easier than sorting through a box of loose prints.
